Interior Technology - Pioneer Middle School, Dupont

I worked at Pioneer Middle School in Dupont, WA for Interior Technology installing Operable Partitions for the stage which was between the Dinning area and the Band Music Room.

H.J. Martin & Sons, Inc - Target Stores

The pictures I took of the work I did for H.J. Martin are on a cell phone I'm still trying to retrieve. I worked at two Target stores, one in Gig Harbor which I later worked a stones throw away a St. Anthony's Hospital and the other store was in Tacoma off I-16 & Union Ave. We did a lot of remodeling which entailed tearing up carpet and laying VCT. I learned a lot from that job and applied what I learned by laying down VCT in a room I remodeled at my church.

It wasn't until the room was finished and junk was in it that I got a digital camera and took a picture of the floor.

St. Anthony's Hospital - Gig Harbor, Wa - Patient Room

The above picture is just the cabinet installed and the picture below is the end product. I helped install different parts in different rooms to finish the end product.

I installed about 6 of these vinyl half walls and two of the wood panels.

I helped install a couple of the wardrobe closets along with a few desks and top selves also. Not to mention most of the pulls.

St. Anthony's Hospital - Gig Harbor, Wa - Main Stairs

The crates have the granite stairs in them. There were bits and pieces throughout this area that I helped install.

This was taken in the wee hours in the morning. Notice there are no over head lights. Then one day you come in and there installed.

This was taken in the wee hours in the morning.

I took this picture because they had turned the lights on and it looked cool. The picture below was the next picture taken but about 10 feet to the left at a different angle.

No rails on the stairs and carpet. I think I took this to show the snow more than the inside.

To the right of the picture is the Conference Room.

Still installing the Cherry wood hand rails.

This is one of the last pictures I took before my first lay off at the Hospital.

St. Anthony's Hospital - Gig Harbor, Wa - ER Ambulance

This is inside the ER Ambulance Entrance. The columns you see on the right of the picture had to be prepared so we could put thick Cedar beams in them. The bottom picture shows the beams in place.

St. Anthony's hospital - Gig Harbor, Wa - Nuses Stations

Operating Recovery room. I helped install a few sinks, Stanless steal kick plates and counter tops.

We had to install different Pulls for these full storage cabinets along the wall of the 2nd floor operating recovery area. That meant drilling a different who for each door and about 20 doors. So you can see the template I made on the door next to the opened door. Paul showed me a secret on how to cover up every whole on each door that was no longer needed too. It worked great.

I installed a few of the stainless steal kick plates in Nurses stations too, along with a few counter tops.

From the Ground floor to the 4th floor one of my jobs was to install every Pull on every drawer, counter and cabinet door. After which each of them had to be adjusted too. I couldn't really tell you how many there were. There were so many I didn't even bother counting.

St. Anthony's hospital - Gig Harbor, Wa - Base Board

Here's an area I got to do that had real wood. I did quite a few other areas but didn't get pictures of them. The above is a kind of before and the picture below is the after.

As with all the pictures you can click on them to make them larger. I did this one too.

St. Anthony's Hospital - Gig Harbor, Wa - ICU Nurses stations

Here's another project I did. These were to be Nurses monitoring stations in the ICU. As I recall there were about 9 of them.

I took these pictures to show my scribing ability.

This was the finished project Bono and I worked on. Awhile later a few other carpenters came in from our crew and finished them after additional parts came in.

St. Anthony's hospital - Gig Harbor, Wa - Co-workers

This area is in the Rock Garden area outside of the Eatery. This is were we set up for our cutting area. Three guys from our crew. Everyone was great to work with.
Two co-workers from our crew going through check lists to see what needed to be finished.

This is Paul the Counter top Master. He had to do this Top for the second floor reception desk three times. Not because he didn't do it right the first and Second time but because he'd come back to find that someone damaged it once before and once after we installed it. I learned a lot from him when I helped him install the counter tops in the eatery.

That's Tim. He and another Carpenter did most of the Ceiling panel work in the Eatery.

That's Brian in the front sanding. Mario is behind him on the right in the picture. I forgot the other guy's name. Sorry.

The guy who turned his head worked with us but can't remember his name. That's Mike to the left. It's about 7 in the morning and we were waiting to find out where we'd be working that day.

Henry

Jerry working under the gun of Henry.

Jerry (Not me Jerry a different Jerry)

This is Nikki. She had the privilege of being the only Female Carpenter on our crew. She did a lot of work in the Chapel. Everytime someone came up to me and asked if I knew where she was I'd say, "She's probably crying in the Chapel". It makes sense if you like Elvis. Think about it.

This is Bono. We worked a lot together. He was very informative, a great teacher and very skilled Carpenter.

Private Recording Studio

We lost our home in December of 2008 and in losing our home we lost the recording studio I built in the back of the house. The Above picture was taken after we cleared everything out of the engineering booth area. There was still dust in the air so it's not a clear as I would have liked it. The desk top covering the piano and running along side the wall is Cedar inlay at a variety of lengths about 2" wide and a 1/4" thick. Each was cut individually. You can click each picture to enlarge them and see more detail.

This is taken a few feet into the engineering from the outside door. The door in the back ground leads to the main recording area. I built the door myself with Cedar T&G & Cedar Panel overlay.
The chairs are built into the wall and the seats lift up for storage. I stored wood pellet bags in them for the black stove. In front of the stove I laid ceramic tile which you'll see better in other pictures.
A picture of the piano top area from the back (ABOVE). And (BELOW) a picture from the keyboard view.
Looking in from the small hallway through the Cedar door to the wall. I had built two Guitar frames on the wall. One for my Ovation that you see in the picture and the other for my Guild 12 string.

This is the front entry. The Dark wood is inlaid Teak and the lighter wood is Meranti.

The wood inlay going to the back is all Meranti.

This is the back. The floor is Meranti, the dark wood on the face is Cedar T&G. The upper shelves are Hemlock panel and Hemlock strips.

In the picture (Below) you can see the floor before the Meranti and the back wall before I put in the shelves and cabinet.

This is the ceiling of the Vocal booth (Below) . It's Cedar T&G with Cedar panels. I wasn't finished with it.

Picture of the back shelves. Enlarge the picture and you'll see more detail. I wasn't finished with that area either.

The above picture is the back wall again with a better view of the Meranti strip top.
